San Antonio, TX – July 31, 2017 – BCS ProSoft is proud to announce a partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio to launch a new internship program. The internship program will help the company expand its NetSuite, Deltek and Sage ERP consulting practices around Texas. New student employees are being hired for the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Currently, new students for the fall semester are being hired and the cutoff date for the semester’s application is the 20th of August. The students will receive remuneration over the period of their internship. Students will earn $12 per hour with the opportunity to earn more depending on the position. The remuneration is to encourage students to focus on expanding their knowledge in the actual workplace while enjoying the fruit of their labor.
“We are fully committed to the success of this program,” said BCS ProSoft CEO, William Vespe. “San Antonio hasn’t always been the most desirable destination for the tech community. If we want to be able to retain talented people and stop losing them to cities like Austin or San Francisco, we need to give them a place to grow and advance their careers. Cultivating and developing top tech talent starts right here at home.”
BCS ProSoft is looking to cycle students in and out of various positions on a regular basis. This is in a bid to expose the program to many talented individuals as possible with the ultimate goal of absorbing them into the marketing, sales, technical support, programming, and other tech-related positions.
A pilot program of the internship program has been underway since January 2017. The company has been working on streamlining their onboarding process to train students in the shortest time possible.
“We’re looking for students who are tough, driven, coachable and articulate,” said BCS ProSoft’s Director of Marketing, Patrick Haley, who heads up the program. “Our internship program is open to everyone, but we have partnered with UTSA because of the University’s commitment to their technical curriculum and course offerings aligns perfectly with our vision of diversifying our own technical skill set. UTSA grads are able to bring new ideas and solutions to address challenges that old-school leaders in our industry have been grappling with for years. Hiring them is a no-brainer.”
Students are encouraged to apply through UTSA’s job board – Handshake. Additionally, students may send applications directly to patrick.haley@bcsprosoft.com.
