Some of the solutions I run up against pretty frequently is Microsoft Dynamics SL and GP. The Dynamics brand is a reputable one and it’s different flavors are geared towards different industries. They’re seems easy to use, but often require significant customization and add-ons to make it suitable for your needs – all at a cost, of course. We’ve recently seen a trend among our competitors in the ERP reseller community where VARs are authorized to give away Microsoft Dynamics solutions at steep discounts (we’re talking 60-70% is some cases). However, they make up for this loss by charging exorbitant professional services fees that often 4-6x times industry rates.
