Business and organizations should ensure that they have done everything they can to protect themselves from the JohnyCryptor ransomware virus. Johnycryptor@aol.com is a high-risk ransomware which locks the files on an infected computer and then demands payment from the victims to unlock the files. Once activated, Johnycryptor@aol.com encrypts files and displays a pop up with instructions on how victims can buy the necessary decryption key which allegedly will recover and unlock the encrypted files.
“What if my business is in the cloud?”
If you’ve moved your ERP platform to the cloud, you need to be aware of potential vulnerabilities that might exist on servers that used to run the on-premise version of your applications. If you still have servers that were running on-premise versions of your system, you should ensure that you have done everything you can to protect your organization from the JohnnyCryptor ransomware. Johnycryptor@aol.com is a high-risk ransomware that locks the files on an infected computer and then demands payment from the victims to unlock the files. Once activated, Johnycryptor@aol.com encrypts files and displays a pop up with instructions on how victims can buy the necessary decryption key that allegedly will recover and unlock the encrypted files.
Password Security is Essential
Organizations that use weak or default passwords on local Windows accounts and domain accounts are at an increased risk for attack. We’re encouraging all of our Deltek and Sage customers to ensure that their accounts use strong passwords to protect their environment from the JohnyCryptor ransomware. If you haven’t done so already, we strongly recommend that organizations change default passwords for all accounts that are created during your system installation in favor of strong passwords that are rotated regularly.
If your organization has not changed the default passwords created by the during implementation, we recommend you do so immediately to protect your organization from this ransomware.
